our class room work!

Here is a great story Jackson from room 8 has written!!

my first motorbike ride

The clock ticked, the toilet flushed, my cousin came back with Al. The tension was heavy, then I went to put on the protection items. Boots, jacket, helmet, pants, and gloves. A light bulb burns out and the door creeks. I am ready I go to the machine. Al goes on first then I prepare. I get told what to do it seems unstable but when we start i hang onto the handles I am nervous we leave the smooth drive way and start on the street. I open my eyes we are going we reach a intersection. When we turn Al gives the motorbike the beans. Here we go up a road down an avenue. How beautiful Whanganui is. Down Victoria Street past the shops and restaurants in the traffic. I start to grin. I look around at the square pakeha and maori teenagers point at me and look astonished. Soon the traffic thins out I look and another motorbike zooms past the passenger waves at me i wave back. The sun is shinning the birds are cheeping and the reflections of the river amaze me. The shing is like a thousand guns shooting in perfect sync. This is what i feel when i ride the bike. The kerb comes closer i lean with Al through the corner we arrive back at the flat. My Mum clapping it is the first time and not the last i will ride a motor bike. I go inside take off my gloves then the helmet, boots, trousers, and jacket the toilet flushes the clock ticks its time for my sister .
