Jesmeen's Game


Walt:write clear instructions
Title:How to play the concentration
Intro:this game is really simple all you have to do is match the cards with correct pair

How to play.......

1.when you go to the game you will see 25 boxes with question marks on them
2.at the very top of the right corner there is a picture that looks a t.v above the red dot press that to go into presentation mode there is also a green flag,to start the game you must press the green flag
3.a sign will come up saying please wait
4.once the please wait sign is gone choose a square then find another square and see if there a pair hint:the pictures behind the squares are fruits,keep finding pairs to find a hidden picture
5.the last step of all is have fun!!!!

Listening

We have been looking at giving instructions. During oral language we learnt about the following.


WALT: give effective instructions

WILF:

- Know the topic (think before speaking)

- Speak clearly

- Give all the required details

- Sequence your steps logically

- Give amounts or measurements to make it clearer (4 steps forward, add 1 cup of sugar)

- Keep it simple (don't give too much information to quickly)

We have been learning about listening in oral language. Checkout the video by Tahlia, Brittany, Jaedyn, and Gus explaining it.

WALT: be an effective listener


WILF:


- Make eye contact

- Use good body language (nodding, facing the person, slight tilting of the head)

- Ask questions etc.

- Not be a passive bad listener

- Not be an active bad listener





Techie Time Challenge










Techie Time needs a theme song.
On Monday I will give the Chocolate bars to the creators of the best Theme Song.

Criteria:
- An awesome beat
- Primo Lyrics
- A max of 30sec long
- The Catchiest, most addictive tune I have ever heard.

All tunes need to be emailed to me by 11:59 pm on saturday the 14th.

We're Back!

We are back and it is term 2!

This term we have lots of exciting things on:

- We are working towards the digiawards
- We are studying DARE
- We are learning about maps / New Zealand / the world
- We are learning about who we are and how it affects our land use
- We are learning about team sports

It is very exciting and I can't wait!
